Worship: Liturgical & Music Ministries
EUCHARISTIC MINISTER Assist with the distribution of the consecrated bread and wine at the liturgy. COMMITMENT: Serve a minimum of once per month. Mus

TABLE SETTER Prepare the table (altar) for Holy Communion. This can be done individually or as a family. COMMITMENT: Serve once each month.
MASS SERVER Open to boys and girls 4th grade and older. Assist priest during liturgy. COMMITMENT: Varies depending on liturgy times. Must arrive 15 mi
CHILDREN'S LITURGY FACILITATOR Lead the elementary children’s Liturgy of the Word which takes place during the 10:00 Liturgy. Leave with the children
MASS LINEN CLEANER Clean the linens from Mass. Training will be provided. COMMITMENT: One week a month.
CANTOR: Leads the singing of the assembly at liturgy. Must be capable of singing as a soloist. COMMITMENT: Must know and practice the song selections
ADULT CHOIR: Group of adult singers who assist the assembly with singing. Rehearsal from 6:30—8:00 p.m. on Thursdays.
INSTRUMENTALIST: Minister to the assembly at the liturgy by accompanying the singing with instruments. Must know and practice the appointed music for
RESURRECTION CHOIR: Group of singers who assist the assembly with singing at funerals. Must arrive 20 minutes before the funeral Mass begins

Parish Life; Care, Food Maintenance & Office Ministries
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY: Knitters and/or crocheters are needed to make the shawls we distribute to those in need of support and comfort. New members alw
CARE MINISTRY: Visit homebound, hospitalized or nursing home members of our parish and bring communion to those wishing to receive the Eucharist

OUTREACH TO NEW PARENTS: Reaching out to new parents to welcome their newest member.
OUTREACH TO INACTIVES: Reaching out to those who have lost contact to let them know they are still welcome.
DONUT SOCIAL HOSTS: Set up and serve donuts, cookies, juice, milk, and coffee after weekend liturgies. Clean tables before the next liturgy ends.
BAKERS FOR PARISH ACTIVITIES: Volunteers willing to make bars, cookies, cupcakes, etc. and drop them off for parish activities
SOUP MAKING for LENTEN STATIONS of the CROSS: Providing a pot of soup for an evening event during Lent
FUNERAL LUNCH VOLUNTEER: Setup the parish hall for funeral lunches, serve the lunches and clean up after. COMMITMENT: On an as-needed basis.
COOKIE BAKERS for LAWRENCE CAMPUS MINISTRY: Bake approximately 4 dozen bars for care packages for Lawrence students one time during the college year.
ON CALL FOOD MINISTRY WORKERS: CRHP Retreat, ALPHA Dinners or other events needing kitchen helpers.
PIZZA SALE: Help to sell pizzas after weekend Masses once ot twice a year (October and January)snd coordinate pizza and equipment delivery.
PORKIE PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Held two Sundays of the year (August and February). Help to serve breakfast after the 8:00 and 10:00 Masses
SUMMER COOK-OUT: Help to prepare, serve, clean-up and sell hamburgers, brats, and hot dogs after weekend Masses in early June
ELECTRICIAN: Help on Electrical projects at the church.
CHURCH CLEANING: A group of people willing to help in cleaning the church on Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m
SOLANUS CASEY GARDENER: Work with others to help maintain the beautiful garden: water, weed, plant if necessary, prepare the garden for winter.
PARISH OFFICE VOLUNTEER RECEPTIONIST: Answer the telephone, greet & help visitors, make needed phone calls, and work on small project
BULLETIN BOARD COORDINATOR: Keeps parish bulletin boards up-to-date and seasonally changes background.
SCRIP SELLER: Sell SCRIP after weekend Masses. This position REQUIRES a background check. COMMITMENT: one weekend Mass a month,

Parish Projects & Committees
BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE: Supervises the upkeep and care of our parish properties. COMMITMENT: Meets quarterly for 2 hour meetings
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: Plans and carries out parish fundraising projects and solicits volunteers, if needed, for the projects.
PARISH AND FAMILY LIFE COMMITTEE: Plans a variety of social activities for parish members. Hay wagon ride, bake sale, St. Nick visit, and giving tree,
SENIOR CITIZENS’ COMMITTEE: Plans 3—5 events for Senior Citizens of St. Joseph Parish each year. Being ecumenical in that other parishes are invited.
TWINNING COMMITTEE: Serve in various capacities – committees or work projects to assist our Sister Parish in need.
SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE: Raises the social consciousness of the parish by seeking to touch our society with Gospel values and seeks to educate the p
